Kraft Paper Slitting Machine Achieves 12mm Precision

In early 2024, a Guatemalan manufacturer reached out to Havesino via our official website, seeking a slitting machine capable of processing ultra-thick kraft paper and PS film. After evaluating their initial specifications, our team proposed the CP-S1200C center winding slitter, but the project was temporarily postponed.

By February 2025, the customer revived the project with refined requirements—this time demanding an unprecedented 12mm slitting precision, far beyond the standard 20–40mm capability of conventional machines. Achieving such precision, particularly while maintaining stable tension control, presented a significant technical challenge.

Leveraging two decades of expertise in film and paper slitting, Havesino developed two customized solutions:

Option 1: A mid-range center winder—budget-friendly but with limitations in handling extreme thickness at 12mm widths.

Option 2: The high-performance HN1300 slitter—equipped with a custom circular knife system to ensure 12mm precision without compromising speed, even for materials exceeding 600 microns.

The client prioritized precision and material adaptability, prompting detailed discussions around Option 2. After reviewing the proposal, they requested a live demonstration and a formal quote.

Since the HN1300 is one of our most reliable models, we offered a competitive price, contingent on a successful 12mm slitting test. With no 12mm round knife holder on hand, our engineers ingeniously adapted a razor knife holder—delivering flawless results: 12mm slits with 250mm max roll diameter, surpassing expectations.

Initially skeptical about feasibility, the client was astonished by the outcome and immediately placed a 40% deposit to begin production. They also arranged to send sample materials for pre-delivery verification.
