Advanced fabric slitting machine with air knife
On 27 November 2024, I engaged with a Singapore-based client via RFQ regarding a fabric slitting machine procurement. The equipment is intended to process large material rolls into smaller units for their upcoming project.
The inquiry included comprehensive company details and direct contacts, enabling immediate WhatsApp communication. Through discussions, I identified this as a high-potential new initiative currently under internal approval. The client proactively sought market insights during the pre-decision phase.
As both parties operate within Southeast Asia, our real-time communication proved efficient.
Although fabric slitting machine falls outside my core expertise, I promptly initiated targeted research to deliver technically sound proposals.
The following morning, I promptly conducted an in-depth analysis of the client’s profile. Their official website (www.sdaletech.com) revealed that while their core business only partially overlaps with ours, their strong commitment to expansion makes them a highly promising partner.
Initially, the client only shared limited material photos and basic parameters for equipment recommendations. Despite our repeated emphasis on the necessity of physical samples for precise model selection, procurement delays due to pending project approval prevented sample submission. Leveraging our expertise, we provisionally recommended the FY1600J hot-knife slitting machine as the optimal interim solution.
Following persistent coordination, the client agreed to provide material samples. Upon receipt on 20 December 2024, our engineering team identified critical elasticity properties exceeding initial projections, rendering the originally proposed FY1600J hot-knife slitter unsuitable for precise tension control.
So we recommended the customer the more advanced HN1300 fabric slitting machine with air knife as an upgraded solution, specifically engineered to maintain uniform tension during elastic material processing. Here you can see the testing video for customer’s fabric. After all specifications, technical issues fixed, customer send PO and our cooperation start.
This collaboration stands as a perfect embodiment of the adage “The best things come to those who wait – and work diligently.” Throughout this five-month journey, we get the success on the project and get the order finally.
